Loved to Death on Valentine's Day

Romance and all that!  My fiancé and I are in two, potentially three bands together, and one of them played a gig on Valentine's Night. Our Victorian Goth Rock band, Whores of Whitechapel. Yarr. It was a terrific success! We played alongside some other great acts and the turnout was excellent. Having organised and promoted the gig myself, I had been nervous about how it would go, but everyone had a good time and yeah a triumph all 'round. Woo!

Anyway, this meant little opportunity for romance on the day, so we went out for dinner the night after.   We went to the Lone Star where we were given enormous amounts of yummy food that we couldn't possibly finish, but it was really good and a very enjoyable evening. I ate a lot of squid. Afterwards we went for a walk along the moonlit waterfront, SO ROMANCE, well it might have been more so had Homegrown, a huge outdoor music festival thing not been on. Ah well it created an exciting atmosphere. Mr Owl gave me this lovely red rose:

It was so nice to go on a date, I think it's important to do these sorts of things from time to time. So yeah that was my Valentine's Day, I hope you enjoyed yours too. Sorry I didn't manage to get any pictures from the whole weekend, I'll try and find out if anyone took some at the gig. x

Edit: someone sent me one extremely pink photo :p
